Christmas
Collection
For Christmas 2025, I wanted to make use of the ceramic studio at Aalto University to experiment with art objects. I find it helpful to work within a certain frame, and this time the inspiration came from the joy of giving, creating Christmas gifts for my family.
With this collection, I wanted to materialize an artistic inspiration that had been quietly bubbling beneath the surface for some time. After an autumn heavily focused on screen-based work, it also felt important to return to a more tactile process — to put my hands deep into clay and embrace improvisation.
The jewelry boxes symbolize preservation, while their exterior reflects the value of what is held within. In these pieces, I wanted to combine two-dimensional patterns rooted in graphic design with a more three-dimensional expression.
